When you first contact North Country Builders of Alaska, we will talk with you about the specific details of your remodeling project, your expectations for the project, any special needs, and gather all of your contact information. Then, if you decide that North Country Builders may be the right contractor for your project, we will schedule a home visit.


During the initial meeting, we will assess the feasibility of your project, take necessary measurements and photos, discuss project budgets and explain in further detail how we can best serve you. This visit is an opportunity to get fully acquainted with you and your project.


After we have all your project information, we will prepare a project scope with estimated costs of your project to include all the areas we discussed . We will submit the proposal to you by fax or email.


After you have decided that you want North Country Builders to be your contractor, we will present a contract to be signed.


We will be involved in all aspects of the construction process. From scheduling to walk-through, you can count on North Country Builders to provide quality control and problem solving through every step of your project. Throughout the construction process, we believe that there must be clear communication between you and North Country Builders. If at any time you have a question or concern, you will be able to easily get in touch with us and receive an answer quickly.


Once the construction has been completed, we schedule a project walk-through with you, explain the function of certain products and, if necessary, go over all your warranty paper work.


A major concern for most people who remodel, is that they are going to get stuck with a lot of extras and overages at the end of the project. Since every project is custom in its own way, North Country Builders of Alaska prices each project independently. This takes a little more time, but it’s the only way to insure accuracy so the client isn’t paying for something they are not getting. North Country Builders of Alaska strives to ensure there are no surprises at the end of the projects for our clients. When there is something that the client wants that is not included in the project estimate, we will put together a Change Order showing the cost of the change before proceeding any further. By doing this, you will know where your project stands at all times.

There may be a time when something arises which may need addressing. If this happens, we will schedule a meeting with you to go over the issue. At that time we will, if possible, offer options for correcting the problem. Once you let us know how you would like to proceed, we will take care of the issue immediately.
